How to make strong compressed soil bricks?
The compressed soil bricks which are made of pure soil are not as strong as fired bricks. How to solve this problem?
You can add some binding material to solve this problem easily.

What kind of binding material can be added?
Cement is the most popular one. You can also add Lime, Bitumen, Gypsum or even rice husk ash. The compression strength of the block is increased by adding these stabilizers which give better binding between soil particles and also by compression of the soil while forming the block. This also reduces the absorption of moisture by the block.
The percentage of cement added to the soil blocks can vary. The more cement you add, the stronger of the bricks will be. But it will increase your cost if you add too much cement. Usually with a percentage of 3% to 15%.
